Hi there.

Before we start, I just want to let you know that people’s names are anonymised in my posts. My husband’s name won’t be mentioned, my daughter’s name is not Helen, it’s one of her middle names.

You can just call me Lex.

I am a mother of a toddler, and by my early 30s, just like most people I have a bunch of experiences that I would like to share.

I’ve lived in multiple cities and countries. I was born in Indonesia, God knows where cause I was adopted, I don’t even know my real birthday. I was brought up in a bi-cultural family, therefore I always feel like I’m too Western for the East and too Eastern for the West. But I try to get the best of it.

My adoptive mother was a Ukrainian-Australian (Rest in Peace), my adoptive dad is Indonesian. I have an older brother who was also adopted. We are like a gang. No one’s blood related in my family but we work well together – to an extent, haha.

I was married to a Frenchman, just to add to this cultural confusion. This blog is really just about what I’ve been through. What it’s like to be stuck between so many cultures, parenting, working, living.

I hope you enjoy.
